EN- Entry Visa- The Embassy of Niger in Washington announces the suspension of entry visas for American citizens, effective Thursday, August 28, 2025. This suspension will remain in place until further notice.

Business

  • – Scanned recent color ID photo
  • – Copy of a valid passport (at least six month validity) 
  • – Copy of work or business invitation letter
  • – Copy of the ID Card of the Niger citizen inviting or copy of the residence permit if the inviting party is not a Niger citizen
  • – Proof of occupation (copy of professional ID, work certificate or similar document)
  • – Copy of round trip flight reservation/itinerary
  • – Proof of accommodation (hotel reservation or other proof of accommodation) 
  • – Money Order in the amount of US $155 to the name of the Embassy of Niger (to be shipped).
  • – Upon approval of visa send in your passport, a recent color ID photo, and a prepaid return envelop (if not collecting visa in person)

Tourism

    • – Proof of relationship to the person to be visited along with the identity card( birth certificate for children, marriage certificate for spouses or other proof as appropriate)
    • – Money Order in the amount of US $155 to the name of the Embassy of Niger (to be shipped).

Students

  • – Proposed course of studies

Medical Care

  • – Copy of Medical file
  • -Estimate of hospitalization and treatment costs drawn up by the health center in Niger
  • -Proof of advance payment of the estimated costs
  • -The health center written agreement to the patient’s admission specifying the period of stay 
  • – Copy of flight reservation/itinerary
  • – Proof of accommodation arrangements in Niger
  • – Travel insurance covering medical and repatriation expenses
  • – Money Order in the amount of US $155 to the name of the Embassy of Niger (to be shipped).
  • – Upon approval of visa you will be required by the embassy to send in your passport, a recent color ID photo, and a prepaid return envelop (if not collecting visa in person). these documents may be sent with the required money order at the initial stage if convenient. 

Journalists

• – Copy of the filming authorization from Niger Ministry of Communication
• – Copy of the travel order from the sending agency
• – Copy of round trip flight reservation/itinerary 
• – Proof of accommodation (hotel reservation or other proof of accommodation) 
• – Money Order in the amount of US $155 to the name of the Embassy of Niger (to be shipped).
• – Upon approval of visa you will be required by the embassy to send in your passport, a recent color ID photo, and a prepaid return envelop (if not collecting visa in person). these documents may be sent with the required money order at the initial stage if convenient. 

Transit

• – Completed and duly signed application form
• – Scanned recent color ID photo
• – Copy of a valid passport (at least six month validity) 
• – Copy of round trip flight reservation/itinerary to the final destination
• – Copy of the Visa for the final destination country if required 
• – Proof of accommodation (hotel reservation or other proof of accommodation) in case of the stay before continuing the travel
• – Money Order in the amount of US $155 to the name of the Embassy of Niger (to be shipped).
• -Upon approval of visa you will be required by the embassy to send in your passport, a recent color ID photo, and a prepaid return envelop (if not collecting visa in person). these documents may be sent with the required money order at the initial stage if convenient. 

Diplomatic/Official

• – Copy of travel order

• – Upon approval of visa send in your passport, a recent color ID photo, and a prepaid return envelop (if not collecting visa in person)

IMPORTANT: All of these documents must be submitted in order for your application to be processed. The visa department reserves the right to request additional information and to verify the authenticity of the documents submitted. Submission of a complete application does not necessarily mean that a visa will be issued. The originals of the documents supplied may be requested by the visa department. They will then be presented to the consular services of the Embassy of Niger Washington DC.
